TechED 08 was a blast

I’m finally back in the land of the interwebs, I’ve been away at TechED in Sydney (and thoroughly exhausted from flights). This was my first TechED and interestingly (well, interesting to me) I wasn’t there as a delegate/attendee, but as a booth babe at the Live Mesh stall thanks to Nick Hodge.

While I didn’t catch too much of the technical content presented I got to meet a huge number of people from Microsoft, as well as just as many twitterers! I swear the Live Mesh booth seemed to serve as a constant mini-twitter meetup!

There were some very interesting things at TechED, including one of two Surface’s outside of the US! Tatham Oddie’s CommNet app for it looked very cool. While many things were cool, there were a few which were just bizarre, such as these beakers at the ‘Future of Web’ stall across from us.

Given I wasn’t a delegate, I didn’t score as many freebies as I could have, but I ended up with a MVP Windup Torch (thanks to Nick Ellery), some playing cards, a TechED Luggage Tag, a Silverlight Cap (thanks to Michael Kordahi) but the most awesome of all…an "experts" lab coat! Mad scientist photos are on their way.
