ReMIX Melbourne 2007

As Will pointed out, I'm considering going to ReMIX.

Andrew Coates missed two important details.

  1. When are registrations
  2. and more importantly, is Galactic Circus going to be free for ReMIX participants?

I'm interested in it for a few reasons.

  1. WPF/E Silverlight had already perked my interest, particularly since playing with C#/WPF a little lately.
  2. "Networking", I could do with getting some 'contacts' in the area I want to get employed in
  3. Galactic Circus, c'mon, the chance to beat other nerds into submission is always fun.
  4. While I love PHP, I've really starting to get into .NET languages/technology (I'll probably make a post in a few days on my progress into .NET).
    Strongly typed languages are just so much nicer/cleaner. Unfortunately, due to limited resources writing my own ASP.NET sites are a little…pointless (LAMP is very affordable, Windows + ASP isn't).
    This sort of thing will probably renew my interest, and maybe give me opportunities for application hosting, who knows?
  5. I expect that a few of the authors of the blogs I read from Microsoft (such as Scott Barnes, BenardBernard Oh - sorry about the typo, Frank Arrigo) will be there; it'll be interesting to meet them

On a side note, I'm surprised Long Zheng hasn't jumped on this yet given the attention he's paid to Silverlight

    That's totally during my exam time, maybe I would have finished by then. We'll have to see.

    Long, curse you and your reality, I suppose it'll be during my exam period as well.
    Oh well, I very rarely have two exams on one day, so I'd be able to attend part of it. (Study, who needs it?)

    I'm more concerned about the time it'll take from organising my engagement party ;)
